As an active triathlete, endurance sportsman, and sailor, Mark is a physiotherapist who understands all too well the frustration that sports injuries entail. Mark trained at the University of South Australia and has since travelled widely around the world to build up a wealth of experience and knowledge in the field of physical therapy.
Mark provides expert manual and exercise rehabilitation techniques, combined with acupuncture and dry needling, to ensure that his clients can return to their desired lifestyle and fitness levels as quickly as possible.
Eddy Simionato
Eddy is one of the first physiotherapists in Adelaide to incorporate acupuncture into physiotherapy. Since studying acupuncture in Taipei in 1989, he has pioneered the treatment of musculoskeletal problems utilising the benefits of acupuncture in conjunction with the biomechanical benefits of hands-on physiotherapy and exercise.
He has expertise in the management of athletes with acupuncture and for many years has provided acupuncture treatment to players of Adelaide's AFL teams.
Verity Simionato
One of the clinic's original founders, Verity is highly skilled in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, able to quickly resolve both acute injuries and those of a more long-standing, complex nature.
Specialising in clinical Pilates, Verity designs specific exercise programs to optimise recovery times. She combines this approach with her special interest in the management of spinal instability and pelvic malalignment.
Jase Heinrich
Jase joined Adelaide Physiocare and Sports Acupuncture in December 2011 and has quickly become an integral part of the team. Having previously played high-level football and basketball, Jase developed a strong interest in the treatment of sports injuries and the management of athletes.
He now specialises in exercise therapy, including Pilates, and provides his clients with long-term strategies to manage and prevent injury. Jase utilises hands-on techniques together with dry needling to treat a wide range of conditions.
Samantha Pretty
Sam has been with us since Feb last year and has slotted straight in to the team without a hassle in the world! It's Sam's graduate year after completing her Masters of Physiotherapy at Flinders Uni last year, following undergraduate studies in Bachelor of Health Science. Sam's treatment skills and confidence are very obvious and she has a distinct approach combining strong hands-on therapy (including dry needling) with her exercise prescription. This has allowed her to compliment the style of treatment we offer at the clinic very effectively. She has a natural sports and core stability interest following a high-level volleyball career and more recently Yoga involvement also.
Our delightful reception staff
Maria and Leanne have been with the practice for many years, Maria for 29 years and Leanne for 14. They are exceptional at what they do and will make your visit to the clinic a pleasure.
